When I'm on the mainland, traveling to meet with clients or on a family trip, I'm always looking for where the next rest stop will be.

I have two young children, and we travel a fair amount, so I'm always looking for cleanliness, convenience, a reliable source of the newspaper, hot dogs, and ice cream, as well as a clean restroom facility, and other snacks and drinks galore.

On our last trip in central California, we looked no further than the local ampm. We'd stop in during the morning to get the paper and grandpa's lottery tickets. I've also found it especially helpful to come here when it's late at night and you're on the road, and nothing else is open!
