As an environmentalist and a working mother of two, Penny Bauder saw a need for a convenient solution that would allow families to spend quality time together enjoying fun activities that bring them closer to nature. She started putting together kids craft kits for herself and her friends, and soon enough word spread and she found herself immersed in the concept full time and Green Kid Crafts was born. 

Penny, her husband Jeff, and her children Rowan (3.5 years, a/k/a Ro Ro) and Declan (11 months, a/k/a Dex) live together in San Diego, California. She holds a B.A. in Environmental Management and an M.S. in Environmental Science. She has worked as a wilderness kayak ranger, a domestic violence counselor, an organic farmer, and an invasive plant biologist, none of which have anything whatsoever to do with being an entrepreneur.
