I've always thought that some people are able to "see" more than others, so they can understand and make better sense of the patterns they detect in the Universe.  Even in ancient times, generals and kings would seek advice from their oracle or fortune teller.

Some believe that palm reading is an effective way to understand the past, present, and future.

I believe that if you take a good look at your own body, you realize that your current state is the physical manifestation of your spiritual being up until this point. If you're tired, haggard, or overweight, it's safe to say that you've been treating your body that way for a while, which is indicative of something within your daily routine, which is itself a reflection of how you feel about yourself and how your soul engages with the world. Hence, the work of palmists, who claim to be able to read your palm and "see" or "review" everything about your personality and topics like finances, love, health, and relationships.

• What makes you happy?
• What encourages you and makes you feel passionate?
• How do you spend an ideal day?

These can be excellent ways to get your mind moving about how you choose to construct your ideal life. 

If you're looking for answers, realize that you can find answers wherever you choose to seek them. As long as you are on the path of self-awareness, reflection, and learning how you can do better in the world, you'll find those answers to help guide you along the way.
